Lightning strikes through Video Game

I find this article hard to believe.
The lightning travelled through the television set and into the video game controller the boy was holding.
The most I have seen lightning do is go from the phone line through a modem and blow up the motherboard of a computer. From antenna, to TV to Xbox or whatever seems a bit unlikely.
