If you don&#8217;t there should be one in \/etc\/ (\/etc\/nanorc). So copy that one:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>cp \/etc\/nanorc ~\/.nanorc<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Now edit the file<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;nano -w ~\/.nanorc<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I uncommented the following options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>set autoindent<\/li>\n<li>set mouse<\/li>\n<li>set nowrap<\/li>\n<li>set smarthome<\/li>\n<li>set smooth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I also inserted some syntax based colouring options (I think I found most of them either in nanorc or forums.gentoo.org)<\/p>\n<p>Edited: If you want to look at the syntax colouring download the nanorc file attached to this blog entry.
